Palo,

"Have you seen how Dani Alvez is tearing it up with Barcelona>??"

---> No , I haven´t been following La Liga lately, since most of my favorite players left it, like Ronaldinho(s) and Robinho.
Is "Tearing it up with a team" a good thing? Like "arregaçando" or "botando pra f...".

Yes, as in doing really well. He usually plays the whole game and is critical to Barcelona's great play. Barcelona is clearly the best team in Spain at the moment. They are simply destroying the opposition.

Is he playing as lateral or midfield? Usually brazilian defenders who aren´t central miggrates to the midfield when they go to europe because they are "too offensive" for the old continent standards, heheheh an example is Mancini.

I´ve heard omething scary yesterday, there are 280 brazilian young players missing all over Europe (the total number of southamericans and africans reaches 600), they are poor kids who receive big promises from some agents and when they arrive there, usually ilegally , they take their passports and they relaize the promises aren´t real.
A 14 year-old boy from Natal, for example, went to Romênia and the last phone call his family received was two months ago, he was crying saying that he wanted to go back home. The agent said he would play for a big team, but he went to a small one that plays in a minor league.

He plays the lateral, but preety deep. Kind like Jorginho of old. I see flashes of Cafun in Dani Alvez, with more skill on the ball and quicker.

Dani Alves is better than Maicon... even though Maicon is also pretty good.

I just saw the Fake Madrid results on goal.com.

Machu Picchu was awesome. We went two days and stayed in nearby Aguascalientes. Cusco is a really fun city too. Their bar/club scene is popping.

Yes and there is currently a alwasuit to get them back. American and European diggers-I mean-scholars really exploited the historical sites for artifacts they deemed significant. You didn't think that Indiana Jones was based ona made up story- did you?

There is indigenous stuff all over the world. Most of it in private collection- bastards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They even used to kidnap epople to display them- at least the Brits did. Fucking Pinkos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah, they told us about the law suit. A guy was sent up to get the artifacts back from Yale and they bribed him and had him sign a document saying that the Peruvian gov. will pay for the cost of maintaining the artifacts. Those artifacts belong in Peru.

Yeah, I went two years ago... that place is incredible.

You should check out Peru (the country as well as the women). The Nasca lines are awesome and the ruins at Ollantaytambo are incredible as well.
Thank goodness that Francisco Pizarro never found Machu Picchu otherwise there would be a Church out there.

Damn, what a pasting. Portugal are definitely on a decline. As I said on the Qualifers board they will not make the WC. One of either Sweden or Denmark will win the group. I doubt they will even make the playoff.

Was Scolari given a good reception ?

It was good because it has been a long time since we beat Portugal for the last time, and it was horrible, since Dunga will have more time to torture us. The brazilian goals were scored by Luís "Fabuloso" (3), Maicon (nice goal), Elano (nice goal too) and Adriano at the end (he entered and did nothing except being at the right plave , Marcelo crossed the ball magnificently precisely on his head).

Pabs,

It´s quite similar to the differences between USA and England, few details in grammar, some words and expressions and the accent. In the grammar, they prefer to use the gerund "a + verb" while we always use "verb + ndo" (the "ing" at the end of the verbs in English). Phonetically, we pronounce more the vowells and we almost hear only consonants when they talk. The portuguese spoken in Brasil is unique, all the other countries that speak portuguese, specially in Africa, speak like t hey do in Portugal.

By the way, even very poor nations use the portuguese better than us, I feel quite ashamed when I see people wearng suits here speaking worse than an Angolan homeless, fos instance. Our president is a good example, when he thinks , it stinks, when he speaks, it´s toilet time, heheheh

from the way Penta talks, it's hard to imagine that Dunga's record as the Brazilian manager is 22 wins, 9 draws, and 4 losses.

2nd place in CONMEBOL qualifiers without getting out of 2nd gear. Absolutely nothing to worry about.

Cal,

Numbers don´t lie, but they can be used to say a lot of things. Those 6 goasl, for example, wee the first scored by us at home this year. Brasil had a whole year to score one goal at home and scores only in a friendly, in the last game of the year. And playing with shitty teams like Colômbia or Bolívia.

Pabs,

The problem is that I don´t think Dunga wil ever reach the 3rd gear, actually I believe he will get teh rear, hehehe. But I understand your support, I myself wanted very bad to see Alfio keeping his good work with Argentina. ;-)

Qualifying for the WC is not a thing to brag about, have we ever been out of a WC? It´s his obligation, he should have been ashamed for being so many points behind a limited team like Paraguay while all teams (speacially the rivals Argentina and Uruguay) are presenting such horrible performances.

The 6-goals score had nothing to do with Dunga´s job. Actually , we won in spite of Dunga, hehehe. when you have players at the level of kaká, Luís Fabiano and Robinho playing together, once or while, their games match despite the lack of training.

I believe CBF has a problem, the plan was to throw out Dunga this year, but the other teams are so weak that he ended up the year in 2nd place. So there is no clear result to fire him. His work is horrible, he isn´t a coach, he is limited mentally, intelectually, techcnically and tactically but it´s difficult to set him home. The king is naked and no oe has the guts to cover him.

I agree with you that Dunga is not a real coach.. I would prefer to see Felipao as coach but I don't think he would take the job for a second time. Hopefully that the players can keep their form through the end of qualifying.

The video with the highlights. A couple of observations

- not at all suprised to see Cristiano Ronaldo not even make eye-contact with Kaka. It was clear that Kaka tried to acknowledge him but the arrogant POS that Ronaldo is, he didn't want to have anything to do with him.

- Elano's goal was very nice

- 2 Brazil players that were interviewed have braces on their teeth. Whereas here it's almost impossible to find an adult wearing them. Anybody who has worn them did so when they were kids. You almost get the feeling that these guys might have been poor growing up and only now that they've come into money , they are able to get them.

Do you really feel it is neccessary to have this team going all out and playing at full potential ? It doesn't work this way. Let this team develop it's personality. Peaking too soon is suicide.
