Personally, I don't find spamming particularly funny. All this guy has done so far is C&P articles from other forums. Some of the articles he has posted here can be found on at least two other forums that he has linked us to! (Didn't check the rest, wouldn't be surprised if they were all the same).

Do we have any forum rules on spam and C&P? If not, it is high time for them IMO.

Taken care of for the moment but there is no control over who can start threads on this forum.

Just ban the name and if it reappears go to administration with his ISP.

Now you tell me. I just deleted the thread. You should know that I am a very simple guy. Give me a heads up if he starts again because the truth is that I do not check this forum that often. And tell me to ban him (I will have to figure out how to do it). Don't you have admin powers anyway? Where is Red?

I have the title but no power--LOL BIG--difference. Yes we need to get Red to add at least me and Boye to the powers that be.

And here I am hunting and pecking to figure out how to run this thing. So far, I have been lucky but one day, my trials and errors will shut this thing down. I need you and Boye to help me. At least Ali knows what he is doing (I hope).

Use the FORCE wisely

Bineaz - I just went into the system and have your status modified to administrator and ability to modify threads. Let's see if it works. You may need to log in again.

As for Boye, which one does he use? There is a Boye and a Boye B.

OK Obi,

FORZA JUVENTUS

I tested IT by changing one of pramzan's messages (Thu Jun 23, 2005 6:45 am CDT) to state support for JUVENTUS.

pramzan, I consider our bet regarding Palermo and Parma settled. 8)

FORZA PALERMO

As for Boye, he's been using Boye B, which is the one that lists him as administrator.

I think I figured it out this time.

Both of you should have full capabilities. On the bottom of the page, there should be a link for Go to Administrative Panel. That should give you the power.

I tried out some things in administrator mode. I made the administration group the moderator for all threads.

Ah.. I've finally got powers that fit my title. For months now I have felt like a French duke after the Revolution. ;)

Re: my nick, something got messed up with my registration of "Boye", so I had to re-register, hence the nick "Boye B".

I've moved three threads over here from World Football. Two of them are forum issues-related, and the last is well, just malakas.

You two are like kids in a candy store. Slow down or you will get a stomach ache.

BTW, I noticed that our titles are gone. What did one of you do?

Not me, but when surfing the admin section I found under 'user admin -> ranks' that a ranking system based on posts has been implemented: it goes from water boy to all-time legend.

Fixed it. The Adminstrator title is a special rank and I had to edit it.

Marko - I redid the rankings. Looks like Bineaz added Water Boy among the ranks for the beginners. After 10 posts, you are on the reserves. And so forth. Here are the rankings:

Water Boy 0
Reserve 10
Match Roster 100
Starting 11 400
National Team 1000
All-Time Legend 2000
Sempre Bianconero! Semper Juventus! Sempre Campione d'Italia!

Yes that was me that changed the titles--long live the people!

Just seeing what can be done. I see changes back so I guess we should disclose changes to each other; not that we have tyo go crazy, because it's worked pretty well with minimal interference.

Thank you, Falc. It's an honour to be in the starting 11. I am pleased the quantity (if not the quality) of my posts has finally been recognised.

By the way, did anyone finally ban that Captain Church guy? Anyone with church in their name deserves a banning.

Should we make Water Boy longer, maybe 25 posts?

Marko - You are past the halfway point to making it to National Team. I think Leo will be the first.

I do not know Captain Church. Did he do anything wrong? So far, this forum has had minimum problems.

Bineaz - I learned the hard way that you can give people "special titles" by editing their profile. That is what I did initially with you and Boye to make you administrators. Turns out that their is another function to actually make a person administrator. And Boye figured out a way to change the moderator status to admin staff. You kind of have to bump your way around to find how to do some stuff on here.

Falc, Ali, Boye,

I went into admin mode and made a change, adding Axe' Brasil to moderator status if for no reason than the consistent football talk on let's face it Brazil. Also, we can--at least I'd like to figure out--change ranks to show a better picture of long time contributors to the group; especially now where we have many returning (Red?). An easy solution would be all regulars--pretty much--now would be Match Roster or something.

I believe the option to change screen names also can be used--Rahdutchetc.? We can also prune some unused screen names if people want to revert, e.g., you Boye.

Anyway, I have a 100 page case ahead of me so exercising some power was a good offset.

Sheessh. Wait until I'm your editor again.
