Ali, Falc,

Having free flow with topics is good so we should be open to new topics that can spark a lark. Would a fair compromise be to allow any thread on the Forum Issues and Polls page (we would leave the issues thread as a stickey).

Do we close and move the following? [Input from thread openers and all please.]

The Faces of World Football

AS ROMA Thread

Manchester United

Palermo and the Islanders

Football Club Internazionale Milano

SEEMS UKRAINE AND GREECE WILL GO AT IT

Greece - Denmark on February 9

German matchfixing scandal

German National Team

And others as they go down. We can set a non-hard&fast rule to kill topics in the politcs thread after some dormancy (e.g. 90 days), but allow the wild west in other respects. Maybe a Gen Chat thread can be added a sticky. I'll start posting on the religion page on Sunday's

Gli Azzurri ??? Amici ???

New ones: German Fußballspiel

North American Soccer

Asia Soccer

African Football

Bineaz - I say that if threads have no activity, they go unless it is a big event that we want to keep for archive sakes (WC thread, for instance)

This board no longer appears as user-friendly as it did before.

It does not seem to allow the full range of HTML. Secondly, I can not, at least, for now, change the font. I am tired of the default non-proportional font. Try to format the standings!!!!

Well this week it's a bit faster. I'm not having the same problem with the font though.

Eugene,

If you're having a problem, maybe you can ask Mate.

I am talking about font face, not size or colour. I have a difficulty displaying current league standings without using a proportional font face like Courier.

Has anyone utilized the title lines for messages? Do they appear on the screen? Or are they just useless?

They are pretty small; and hard to see. I don't see much use.

Now a question for you.

Why do some pages display the text in a wider manner so you have to use the left-right scroll bar at the bottom?

I wonder if these pages have pictures whose margins are wider than the page size?

You can change resolution of your screen, in which case the pages will fit larger pictures, but even then it is a guarantee...

Bineaz & Falc

Whatever folder I access, it looks screwed up on my screen. Instead of evenly occupying the whole width, it's all on the right. Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Perhaps it's possible, if you believe Sir Charles Darwin, to start as a mere baboon, in our case Leftist, and then eventually become a full-blooded human being (many generations after), in our case Conservative, but I'm not aware of evolution in reverse.

Next time you have something idiotic to bark, contact your fellow chimp, Edward M.(oron) Kennedy.

LOL Zeus may be right for all I know.

Leo, I'm not sure how it works; it happened to my browser some time ago. It appears to occur when a long string of text (such as a url) gets written without a break and widens the whole page. I think Falc did something but it still occurs. I've haven't seen anything in the administrator panel. I guess we can request of the site, unless someone has an idea other than Zeus.

Falc, I'm having the same problem. I also created two new accounts today and I'm still unable to log-in or make any posts on most threads.

Luckily I can post as a guest on this thread. How come most people are unaffected and are posting like normal? Have I been banned?

Have you tried the standard login failure procedure (i.e. deleting cookies and clearing browser cache)?

There is very little "standard" in that procedure. But the reason it worked is that whbile trying to access the board during the down hours, a cookie was generated. Unless it is deleted, you may have difficulty loging into this board from that machine. I had that problem with my home PC until I removed the cookie. But, my work PC, where I am right now logged me in right away. It had no bad cookie.

Yeah I got a bad cookie. I had to delete all of them however, which is actually a negative, plus the temp internet files and history.
