I don't know what's wrong with the Brits. They looked like they never played together, especially when attacking. I didn't expect England to give a fantastic performance, but certainly they could do better than that. Oh well, they bagged 3 points.

American commentators....He actually said "Englishmens" as plural. He should have raved less about David Beckham too. Next game I'm going to watch mute. Swedes don't talk much anyway or arent supposed to:)

Leo - I am thinking about brushing up on my Spanish. Why can't these idiots learn that the best thing is to shut up. Bunch of useless stats. Like a really give a rat's ass about this match being the first one in WC history that was the sole result of a own goal. Could not the time used to dig up crap like that be used to find bin Laden?

Buzzz - Let's see if this game can end without the need for ambulances. As typical of players from your country, hard tackles with cleats up. The Swedes can be rough too. BTW, I played against your keeper some time ago. He went to Howard University and played in one of the local leagues. We use to have a state games every summer, kind of like a state olympics. My league all-star team played against his.

Thanks Falc. :) Hislop almost did not play. WHat's bad for Jack is good for Hislop, so many of the T&T players are at the end of their careers. It is good they made it at this time. Perhaps we could inspire another generation and make it again in a decade or so. As for them playing dirty, I am a fan of Argentina aren't i?! hehehe

Sweden Vs T&T

I'm loving it. Would LOVE to see this game end scoreless. Ibrahimovic is keeping the same form he showed at Juve

It would be an ideal result for England. If England avoid Germany than next thing you know they will find themselves into the 1/4's . Yesterdays game was as good as it's going to get for the Equator-people. They will not play better than that. Whereas England have a few more gears in them. You will see.

Nil-Nil

Not surprised. I said earlier that T&T got a good draw as they would match well against England and Sweden. Paraguay may be a different story for them.

Alright then. Sweden fuked up. But their buildup to the Cup revealed that so I'm not suprised. They had a shit load of the ball and sometimes that can be a bad thing as they ran out of ideas. But they did indeed get their chances. That Ibrahimovic chance near the end was damn close. The replay behind the net shows it best. Very close indeed.

all is not lost but this was game was the gimme points that Sweden needed. Very little room for error now.

Ljunberg was OWNED today by the T&T RB (Edwards) who was my M.O.M. Very good player. The frustration by Ljunberg at the end was evident as Edwards put him in his back pocket.

All is not lost, in fact many teams have progressed to the finals despite in opening game hiccup (90 & 94 come to mind) but Sweden have to roll up their sleeves and start sweating a little more.

LOL!!!!!

My apologies for underestimating the utter SUCKITUDE of Euro footy.

Clueless skilless and imagintionless.

Neither Euro team scored today!!!

One got lucky.

Trinidad a country withgout a pro league, playing with 10 men!!!!

I demand that FIFA drop at least 2 WC spots from Europe and give it to some worthy regions.

PATHETIC!!!

Hey racist how goes it :D

Superior but can't score...

Drop 2 WC spots instantly. Bunch of overhyped, overinflated teams.

Trinidad already reached their goal before this game. That is to qualify. Now they are getting icing on the cake.

Read my lips PATHETIC!!!!

Good Luck tomorrow. I really do mean it. I hope you do a number on the Portuguese. But if not, you have to promise to return even if Iran lose. (it's only fair :)

In 1994, 7 out of the 8 quarter finalists were European, in 1998 6 of them were.

2002 wasn't so good, but neither was it good for South America, who had 60% of their teams (3 out of 5) eliminated in the first round.

If any places were lost, it would be an absolute disgrace. It's quite difficult to qualify from Europe, just ask the Czechs in 98 and 2002, or Portugal in 98, or the current European champs Greece for this WC.

Which confederations would be allocated these two places? I'd be interested to know.

A testament to the strength in depth of European football, is that while Germany reached the 2002 final, they were eliminated in the first round of Euro 2000 and Euro 2004.

I could go on, giving MANY more examples, but I have a game to watch.

BINGO !

T&T are CELEBRATING because this is the VERY BEST they can do. As they should be indeed celebrating. On the other hand, Sweden still got the SAME RESULT as T&T, so how does that merit a drop in allotment for Europe ?

you're just dumb.
