Also, I think we now share the record for most 5-pointers with 4 predictions or less, since I got 2 yesterday and almost had another today (Inter, score a goal!)

When someone ties the record, the one who did it in the fewest number of matches gets it. So I still hold it. :)

Campi, I recently reinstalled XP and thus no longer have your e-mail address on my computer.

If you still have mine (it's on boye's site anyway if you don't), then can you let me know what your address is as I have to send you my predictions for my UEFA Cup match against Boye..

Thanks,

Mark

Cheers Boye :)

Wow, they are pretty similar aren't they? All depends on the match between Auxerre and CSKA now :| I feel Boye may have done better in predicting a bigger margin of victory for the French as they are 4-0 down.

Falc, I haven't received your CLPT predictions btw.

Mark:

Heh, three identical predictions out of four. Great minds think alike, eh? :)

Yeah, it's all down to the Auxerre-CSKA match, and I think your post-prediction analysis may be correct. :) CSKA are playing away from home and all they want to do is to avoid getting beat by more than three goals.

haha yeah we made similar predictions in one of the competitions last week too.

Campi, you have a very cynical mind! When Boye and I make the final of the CLPT... errr I mean those who make it to the final of the CLPT will have made it there on merit :D

Wow, when I saw that you 2 made 3 of 4 identical predictions and made a comment about it, I literally said to myself out loud "I can guarantee you Boye is gonna say something to the tune of 'great minds think alike'". I'm good, huh? Not only am I an excellent champions league predictor, I'm an excellent Boye Brain predictor as well.

Campi,

LOL @ Boye's brain.

Pray for luck because that's all Inter can hope for. Dida is going for a record shutout streak in the CL.

They need to hit him with more than just one flare! And they need to surprise him just as Inter is taking a shot on goal...

Play stopped... I don't know what the rules of CLPT dictate but you can be sure whatever they are I am protesting.

Objects thrown on the field; just before that Inter had a goal annulled on a corner kick (foul).

Oh and as the highest ranking player to enter the second round, I am judge, jury and enforcer of the CLPT.

From the UEFA site:

The match is abandoned with Milan leading 1-0. The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body will decide if the result stands after investigating tonight's incidents.

To clarify, I'm the enforcer but Eugene does all the field work. Still willing to be so flippant?

UEFA will probably let the result stand, or alternatively award the match 3-0 or something to Milan.

For the CLPT, I think it would be most fair if we just stick with 1-0 which was the score on the pitch when the match was abandoned.

BTW, I'll be going away on Thursday for the Liberal party's national convention, so I won't be able to update the website with UPC scores until Monday. If the convention decides to recommend Norwegian EU membership, don't expect an update until Tuesday. :D

I'm not so sure. If the official result is made to be 3-0 then that's what it should be. We need a new regulation on this matter.

I suppose it doesn't matter if it doesn't change any results between players.

Looks like the decision has already been made, Bineaz. On the CLPT site, the game has been awarded 1-0 to Milan and the scores have been accordingly updated after last night's games.

Right thing to do IMO.

Conspiracy rears its ugly head.....

Generalissimo Boye, it seems like the people (except for your henchman) have spoken and the outcry favors going with the official UEFA result- if that's 3-0, so be it! If Marko was that good, he would predicted the flare to Dida's shoulder and the 3-0 prediction would have been obvious. But he's not. So screw him!! However the CLPT handled the Roma game it should handle this one, no double standards! I believe in both cases the teams were winning 0-1... The masses are becoming restless, Generalissimo, are you willing to risk having your regime toppled over this???

Liberal party... BAH!

The decision has already been made this time! Yes, you're right about the Roma - Kyiv game, but this is a fresh start and a new rule.

It would test my faith in the democratic and fair nature of the CLPT if I suddenly lost 2 points having already been officially awarded 5. That would be blatant theft! :)

And anyway, apart from you, Boye and myself, nobody who is still in the CLPT has spoken about this. Boye and I outnumber you 2 to 1 :P

Seriously, would it impact the result? i.e., does Campi then win. Let's hold off until Juve beats Liverpool today and whatever happens in France.
